In the old Irish, géadal carries meanings of wound and renewal, tying this fedaA “fid” is a Gaelic term that translates to “tree” in English and is highly significant in Druidry and Celtic spirituality. Each fid is associated… more… to both injury and recovery. Reeds were used to make musical instruments, especially the reed pipes and whistles whose songs bridged human and divine. They were also used for thatching, sheltering homes from the elements. Thus, nGéadal speaks of protection born from flexibility and of music that emerges from life’s fragile places.
